Triton Knoll Event – Opportunities for local Suppliers

Static Security had the pleasure of being invited to the Triton Knoll Event at Boston College today .

Triton Knoll is an offshore wind farm in the latter stages of development, and is owned by Innogy, one of Europe’s leading renewables businesses. Located 20 miles off the coast of East Lincolnshire, the project will provide 860MW of electricity from 90 wind turbine generators and will take up to 4 years to complete.

The Team has many opportunities for Lincolnshire businesses to be involved in the construction of the project’s electrical system, which is due to start this summer. So this event was a great way for the local companies to have the chance to compete for future tenders. The Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, was organising this key ‘meet the contractor’ event to highlight the prospects for supply and employment.

Our Directors both Neil Cook and Paul Cook  were in attendance and had pre appointed meetings with the two main contractors. J Murphy & Sons has been appointed to deliver the onshore underground cable circuits from near Anderby Creek through to Bicker Fen; while Siemens Transmission and Distribution Ltd will be responsible for the construction of the onshore substation at Bicker Fen. We were able to showcase our Wirefree Intruder Detection Systems aswell as explain about the types of Construction Security we can offer . It was a very informative morning with bacon butties as a great addition .
